More options or fewer better ones?

by

Most apps try to solve choice by giving you more of it.

I'm experimenting with the opposite.

MoodFull reduces your food options down to 8 based on your mood, diet, and energy — instead of overwhelming you with hundreds.

Curious:

Would you rather have
A) More options + filters
B) Fewer, highly personalized options

And why?

One thing I've noticed so far:

People don’t struggle with lack of options — they struggle with too many options that don’t fit the moment

Interested if others building consumer products have seen the same pattern
