Launch recap: Zanderio Prototype
Thanks, Hunters. When we opened public access to our prototype, we finished on high side of the ranking and added 30+ new followers to our Product Hunt page. More importantly, a bunch of you jumped in, tested it, and gave us real, actionable feedback.
What people tested
Product Discovery – describe a need → get 2–3 real matches with a simple “why this.”
Product Comparison – side-by-side differences that actually matter.
Product Recommendations – context-aware suggestions (budget, size/fit, season, prefs).
Context Awareness – remembers what you just said (e.g., skin type, price band) and uses it in the next step.
What we heard (themes)
Trust & boundaries. Add-to-cart is fine; checkout stays human-approved. A mini “receipt” + Undo helps.
Setup & safety. Keep it <10 minutes via Shopify app with auto-ingest, plus A/B split, kill-switch, and clean rollback.
Cart as a shortlist. If we suggest anything, it must respect category/size/colour and a price band—no flooding the cart.
Healthy skepticism. Some folks won’t trust AI to shop at all; assist-only with clear controls is the right line.
A few quotes from testers
“If it’s <10 min via Shopify + auto-ingest, I’m in. Need an A/B kill-switch and easy rollback.” — Shabnam K.
“Add-to-cart OK, checkout should stay human-approved. A quick undo or mini receipt would build trust.” — Talshyn N.
“If it’s really a 10-minute setup, I’m sold—self-serve or dev-heavy?” — Abdul R.
“My cart is a working shortlist. Suggestions must match size/colour/price range or I’ll bounce.” — Leah M.
“I wouldn’t trust AI to shop for me at all.” — Ricky G. (good reminder to keep guardrails tight)
What we’re shipping next (from your feedback)
One-click A/B + Pause (instant kill-switch) and clean rollback
Mini receipt + Undo for any suggestion
Stricter matching (same category, exact variant, merchant-set price band)
Better context awareness with a visible “what I’m using” summary and easy reset
