Are traditional dart checkout charts actually optimal?
by•
I’ve been looking at how most dart checkout charts are designed, and it seems many routes are based more on tradition than dartboard geometry.
For example, some common finishes don’t actually leave the best recovery options if a dart lands in the single instead of the triple.
So I built a tool that analyzes checkout routes using board geometry and miss patterns.
I just launched it today and would really like feedback from other players on whether the routes make sense in real play.
What do you think about using geometry instead of traditional charts for checkout strategy?
