APItizer — a visual REST API contract builder

I’m Ivan Khakharev, founder and CEO of APItizer — a visual REST API contract builder.

I’ve been working as a system analyst in enterprise IT companies for over 8 years, and during this time I’ve repeatedly faced the same problems:

REST API contracts are hard to design, even harder to document, and existing tools often don’t work well together.

At some point, I decided to solve this for my own team and wrote a Python script that automated API contract generation and validation.

It reduced the team’s workload by 3–4 times and helped us move to a test-driven API design process.

That experience led to the idea behind APItizer.

I realized two things matter most:

visualization — being able to clearly see and edit the API contract structure

speed — spending minimal time on describing the contract itself

Everything else — YAML, JSON, Postman, OpenAPI specs, readable documentation — should be generated automatically.

That’s why I built APItizer:

a visual tool where you design your REST API contract once and generate everything you need in one click.
