Hi everyone! 👋 I'm excited to introduce Umbra. Like many developers, I spend long hours in the browser, especially at night. Most dark mode extensions simply invert colors, which often creates harsh contrast, unnatural colors, or readability issues. Before building Umbra, I spent time reading research on dark mode, color perception, visual ergonomics, and human-computer interaction to better understand what actually makes interfaces more comfortable to look at—not just darker. Those ideas shaped Umbra's design.
