Why I Built TuckMeIn My son went through a dragon phase that lasted approximately seven years. Every night, somewhere between ages 3 and 10, he'd climb into bed and make the same request. "Daddy, tell me a story, but with a dragon. I want a lot of details." I'd wing it. I'd invent names, add twists, include his stuffed animals in the cast. Some nights I nailed it. Some nights I was exhausted and the dragon just went to sleep early. What I remember most was how well the ritual worked. Dim lights, imagination running, slow drift into sleep. A good bedtime story wasn't just entertainment. It was a transition, a signal to his brain that the day was done and something magical was waiting just on the other side of sleep. Fast forward to now. I'm a software developer with 30 years of experience, and I've been watching AI get surprisingly creative. So I ran an experiment. I described my son, his dragons, his favorite things, and asked AI to write him a story. I was not prepared for how good it was. That's when TuckMeIn got real. I used AI tools to build it, then refined it through prompts and guidance until it became a genuinely good storyteller. Kids are the hero of every story, customized with their name, best friend, and whatever they're obsessed with, whether that's dragons, dinosaurs, unicorns, or rocket ships. Every story comes with audio narration and a printable version. Parents can also pick a value to weave into the plot, like kindness, courage, or sharing. My son is in college now. But somewhere tonight, a tired parent is about to get asked for a dragon story with lots of details. I wanted to make sure they have backup. TuckMeIn is for them.
