I used to think the Nigerian creator economy had a matching problem. Brands could not find the right people. Creators could not get in the room.

I was wrong.

The room was already there. It just lived in DMs, WhatsApp threads, and “pay me after it goes live.” A brand would send a brief. A creator would post. Then someone would vanish, or the money would sit, or nobody could prove what was actually agreed. Talent was never the missing piece. Trust was.
