Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Alex, the founder of Transition.
As an Ironman triathlete and software engineer, I experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing intense training with a busy life. Traditional training plans were too generic, coaching was expensive, and existing apps just tracked data without actually helping me train smarter.
That's why I built Transition - to help athletes train smarter and achieve their goals without having to make complex training decisions.
Our mission is to democratize access to world-class coaching through AI, making personalized, science-based training available to every athlete. Your support means the world to me.
Am able to customize my schedule with the coach? I have a busy schedule that changes daily so I need to have flexibility.
Transition
@carissa_harper Yes absolutely. We designed Transition with busy athletes in mind. You can input your schedule, travel plans, upcoming races, and any other workout preferences, and the coach will adapt your training automatically.
Also, if something happens on a particular day (e.g. bad weather, pool is closed, etc.), just message the coach and your workouts will adjust automatically!
@carissa_harper I do this all the time with transition and it works great. Being able to adjust my schedule by just telling me the coach what I'm I've got going that week has been awesome

@hideya2026Â Thank you Hideya! Your feedback has been incredibly helpful, especially your feedback on heart rate zones!

@curiouskitty Great questions. I feel a strong responsibility to make sure Transition gives athletes high-quality, evidence-based feedback.
1. AI video analysis is split into multiple phases, rather than a single "one-shot" analysis. We leverage pose detection to extract measurable biomechanics, which is well studied and developed. We then layer an LLM on top for more detailed analysis, which we've built an evaluation framework around.
2. For photo-based logging, we've seen steady accuracy improvements simply by updating to newer LLMs. That said, we do provide users a fallback to manually edit macronutrients or use nutrition labels / barcodes.
More generally, we act on every piece of user feedback and root every decision we make in data. The technology is advancing quickly, so rapid iteration with guardrails and taking user feedback seriously are the best ways for us to improve.
Love it, very flexible and adaptive to my day-to-day, real-world training. It's simple to use and engaging in an AI-forward manner, for those who are frequently using the various engines. If something changes in your routine, tell it to adjust. It's easy to send workouts to my Garmin and Rouvy, covering the disciplines perfectly for my workouts. I also love that it has integrated tools to analye your swim, bike and run form by uploading pics/videos. Features are rolling out frequently and Alex has been super responsive to requests. I've tried Garmin Connect, Training Peaks, TriDot... all too involved and rigid, ultimately landing on Transition as a paid subscriber for several months now. Keep up the good work!
