TransferKit is very easy to use. We tried to design it so the average Joe can use it without any problems or technical knowledge on how TransferKit works.
Because this is our very first app we definetly ran into some problems. We couldn’t add all features we intended to add. We plan to roll out more premium features in the future.

I guess you're using the web3.storage as an underlying storing service. It's nice to have a more user-friendly interface. As a suggestion, I think you can consider adding an option like setting a password for a file. And encrypt the file before uploading it to the Filecoin network. That might address some privacy and file deletion concerns.
@user_101 Unfortunately no. Even though we can ask the storage providers to delete the file, the nodes on the Filecoin network may retain copies of the data indefinitely.

@pratik_r0810 So the files can't be deleted, by anyone, even the uploader?
Interesting one. Should FIL token be used for storing files on Filecoin network? Is the storage more as a Layer 2 private storage and rather than on the network. Also is encrypting files possibile?
@wilsonbright The Filecoin network was created to incentivize storage providers on the network to agree to storage deals. Storage providers must provide collateral in the form of FIL when agreeing to a storage deal. So the storage is private because no data is stored on network. We will be adding a option to encrypt your files on TransferKit in V2.0.

This is amazingly useful!
I am just not sure how can this be free?
You might get thousands of GBs stored and even more transferred. The infrastructure can cost you a lot with the time.

Good luck with the tool! One tip -- take it or leave it -- if you're targeting the average user, you might want to consider addressing the lack of the notion of a "user" in your help. All traditional platforms have it (dropbox, iCloud, etc.).
