ToNobody - Write the messages you'll never send. Anonymously.

by
ToNobody is a free, anonymous web app for writing the things you can't say out loud. Whether it's a letter to an ex you still think about, words for a boss who never listened, something your family will never hear, or a message to yourself — ToNobody gives you a quiet place to let it out. There are no accounts, no replies, and no judgment. Just categories (ex, boss, family, friend, stranger, yourself), raw honesty, and the relief of expression.

Hey everyone! I built ToNobody because I kept writing messages I knew I'd never send — to an ex, to family, to myself. I'd type them out in Notes, stare at them, then delete them. It felt like the words had nowhere to go. Turns out, there's decades of research behind this. Psychologist James Pennebaker found that writing unsent letters — addressing someone directly without sending — significantly reduces stress and helps process difficult emotions. It's one of the oldest pieces of therapy advice, but there was no dedicated space for it online. So I built one. ToNobody is dead simple: Write a message to someone (an ex, boss, family, friend, stranger, or yourself) It posts anonymously — no accounts, no emails, no sign-up No one replies. No comments, no DMs. You write, you release, you leave. What surprised me most is how reading other people's unsent messages feels. There's something quietly powerful about seeing a stranger wrote the exact thing you've been carrying. It's completely free, privacy-first (no tracking), and always will be. I'd love to hear: what message have you been holding onto?
