Tiptap is the best text editor IMO. I've been using the Mantine UI wrapper for tiptap for my last project (/tiptap). The new AI features look really cool!

Yes, an optional UI package could be helpful, especially if someone wants to build something quickly or is getting to know the platform. But the core packages being unstyled is great if you're building something complex / custom.

So good to see TipTap launch a paid plan. Totally worth it. We have been using TipTap as our main editor (OSS version) for a while now at featureOS (), and it has been the most comfortable and stable implementations we've ever done.

We've been using TipTap since Q1 last year. We're now implementing for our other product (helpOS) which heavily relies on real-time collaborative editing using HocusPocus. Can't wait to show it to the world soon. Here's a preview: Please hit me up if you need to hop on featureOS to start collecting feature requests for the new TipTap. :)

Congrats on the launch, I love TipTap! I reviewed a bunch of editing libraries before picking TipTap to build Things I love: nice high-level interfaces to customize behavior, can write my own plugins, interactive node views are powerful, and it's built on ProseMirror (so you can pop the hood to a lower level if needed). Overall, I've been really happy with the choice, and building a slick Notion-like editor product has been fun :)
