Communities has become the lifeline for any startup and to have a good idea of the tools and how you are going to go about is crucial. I just completed the form and got really good suggestions. Of course this information would have been available by doing google search but to have this info available in less than 5 minutes is just fantastic. Thanks team and all the best 🛫

You didn't really solve the Problem as you defined it. How do you know if it is the right tool for your community? This tool fundamentally fails to answer that question. It absolutely sends a list of links to Threado's website for the tools it recommends (happily surprised to find that they were not affiliate link pages) but fails to tell me why the selected tool is right for my category/industry (Why is "Support" not an option?) and why a different tool isn't a good fit. Filled out the form and I still don't know if it is "the right tool for your community?". I just know that you put it in a list and said "use this". Landing page tool/site: Why should I use Carrd, but not Webflow based on my selections. Just because it's free? Is there another free tool that might also be appropriate as well? What are the advantages of one over the other? Sure I might have selected Free, but should I try to find budget for Webflow if I can? Maybe the benefits would be worth trying to get funds. This could be a great tool, but there isn't much value in it today for the end users.

@historian Hey David thanks for the feedback! I love the suggestions of adding more context around advantages of one tool over another, suggesting additional tools that are similar and what benefits might be worth trying to use a paid tool compared to free. Thats really helpful and something we can expand on in a v2. The purpose we wanted to accomplish is provide a quick easy way for folks to become aware of what are the best recommended tools based on what other communities are using. For someone like you who is a community expert, maybe that's an obvious starting point. But for many community managers we talk to, it's not. So we decided to create a free tool that saves time from guessing, searching and the pain of trying to figure it out on your own. It's a recommendation based on an in house survey, data and expertise from talking with other communities simplified into a starting point. I think we can take everything you said and improve upon this to make it better. Thank you for that!

@michaeljnovotny I agree, this is good as starting place for those who don't have a base to work from. And it gave me knowledge of tools I wasn't fully aware of. I do believe adding context to your choices will bring greater value to those new to Community Management.

This looks interesting! But I'm sorry, it's not quite clear how this works? Communities on a particular site or in general? It's just the first time I've seen this kind of product 👍🏼

@diana_sfera Hi Diana, thanks for asking a question! Maybe we could be more clear about that. We help provide a simple starting point based on your community size, community type and budget. And we have aggregated all the data we have gathered from communities like that to provide a simple starting point based on that. That is the list you receive when you fill out the form. The purpose is to help save time for folks to see what tools folks are using for different use cases like, network enabling. Does that help?

Love your content! I wish your blog had an RSS feed so I could put it into Feedly though :(
