- smart-filters or combined searches can not be saved for quick recall - sync uses their proprietary cloud (not iCloud) - interface requires a lot of taps/clicks and tabbing to get things done :(

Beautiful! Just drop Omnifocus for this

Pricing is really old school. Why don't you do a cross platform app (windows and android) ?

I've used Things since 2010. It's the app I couldn't live without. To use it well, familiarize yourself with David Allen's "Getting Things Done" methodology.

Pros:

Incredibly well designed, seamlessly integrated across devices

Cons:

None

Brett Garwood

Absolutely love Things, and utilize it as my go-to for managing all my tasks personally and professionally. Only issue I have revolve around collaboration features. Would love to fully merge all task management into Things, but cannot do this with collaboration features (sharing, commenting, attachments, etc.)

Pros:

Best GTD Tool, Phenomenal Design

Cons:

Needs Collaboration Features

Orcun Akca

Really enjoy using it on a daily basis. Would love to have the option to be able to schedule a task on my calendar similar to fantastical2. Completing a task takes time and it needs its own slot on a calendar when needed.

Pros:

Beautiful design

Cons:

No calendar integration

My favourite app! If you are following GTD, you have to use THINGS! 😃

How about sharing/collaborating? Really missing that functionality. Also, ability to create customer search/filters and save them as presets please....

Now, the pricing I don't have that big of a problem with. Its competitors aren't cheap either (e.g., 2Do, OmniFocus). Plus, the design is truly gorgeous. I'd dare to say it's simply the best on the market. But no iCloud or third-party (e.g. Dropbox) sync is a deal-breaker for me (or am I wrong in thinking that it doesn't?)

@lockeannloebbed Actually I like that concept a lot, it's good to keep your data private. When you are using Things app, you are not a product in person. I mean every data about you is not a company product to sell bigger players on the market, like in competitors apps. Things 3 on Mac and iPhone are great, congrats for designers and developers for rising the bar to the next level. You are on very hard track with your business model but you have much bigger heart for your product and thats why you are still on the market. And the others are not. Great job!!! Keep going and please - updating your product with new features more than often and the market is yours. Your vision is the best since v1.

@pawelkubasiak I concede the point that it's good to keep your data private, but I wonder exactly in what sense Things Cloud is private. If by that you mean they don't *use* your data in anyway, my bet is that neither does iCloud nor Dropbox. Here my concern is mostly with convenience -- I tend to be reluctant to sign up for another service just so I can sync part of my data for a very specific purpose (I ditched OmniFocus for this exact reason). But perhaps you mean something else by 'keep your data private'?

@lockeannloebbed There is no second bottom, you get the point

It's so gorgeous but the lack of shared tasks/lists is a huge miss. The price makes sense and is worth supporting developers. The missing 3rd party features, plus the lack of collaboration make switching back to Things challenging.
