Hey PH šŸ‘‹ Bakhtiyor here, one of the three founders of TheFalse. Quick backstory: I've been a heavy reader for years and used Goodreads until I just... stopped. Not because I stopped reading — because the app made reading feel like filing paperwork. Long reviews nobody sees, a dead social feed, discovery that hasn't changed since 2013. Saidazam, Oybek, and I are building TheFalse full-time from Uzbekistan. Six months ago we started building what we wanted to exist. Today we're launching v0.2.0. The two things I'm most curious to hear your reaction to: 1. The Library Agent. Not a chatbot that suggests bestsellers — an AI that knows your reading history and can answer things like "why do I keep bouncing off long books?" or "I loved The Brothers Karamazov but hated Anna Karenina — what does that say about what I should read next?" 2. The ebook reader. A lot of people told us "just focus on the social layer." But the gap between reading and sharing is where engagement died. Now your highlights go straight to your feed. We applied to YC, got rejected, and kept building. This is our real launch. Free at app.thefalse.net — brutal feedback very welcome. What would actually make you switch from whatever you're using now?
