Tana is amazing. I’ve just almost all of the modern „bi-directional data“ and „it doesn’t matter where you put your content tools“ out there. Tana is the only one that’s gets to the core of the issue, has an incredibly active community and product team and provides constant updates. There is still room to improve (obviously) but I have been aboard the Tana vessel long enough to fully trust the team and their mission!
Awesome @mj_vdm! You have high standards, give sharp insights, and match that with with some quick wit! What a combo. Thanks for the message, love having you on the journey with us
Absolutely love Tana. The whole team is amazing, the app has so much potential to get even better (though it is amazing right now). Really feel like Tana will increasingly become my one stop solution for notetaking etc and be the main integrating app in my set up.
@claudio_r2025 Thank you so much, Claudio! We're proud to be community-built, so we always strive to improve the things our users want us to improve. 🫶
Thank you so much @claudio_r2025! And yes, a lot of room for improvement on the app (thankfully some of those improvements just shipped. You can enable editing as an Early Access feature! Go to the "Manage" tab, and toggle Early Access features on to test it. You can download the latest version from App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ta....")

@bragebang@hilde_dybdahl_johannessen - Brilliant thanks! rereading my message I just want to re-iterate that I'm not suggesting it needs improvement in any negative way. Rather I meant to say how great it is that you really are continually making it even better and adding new features etc. It's a growing product and yes, having spent quite some time on the slack channel, the community is amazing. Really wishing every success for Tana and team 🚀

Tana is an amazing tool. I’m so excited to see where this tool goes as its development continues. I really think it’s going to change the way people work in a meaningful way!
Having spent some serious time with a variety of PKM's, I think I found Tana by accident. Pretty soon however, I noticed it had the potential to become extremely powerful, bearing in mind it was mostly just pages, supertags, supertag fields and a knowledge-graph (without the visual knowledge graph, never missed that...). In recent months, I have seen the application or platform become much more mature, and I've become much more enthusiastic about it in return, to the point where I've started to write about it, shown it to friends and colleagues, etc.
By now, Tana is my go-to-app for storing all things information ranging from investment documentation, my writing app, my business meetings, my 1-1's, my what's-for-dinner-list, my Canada-holiday-planning, my annual reviews, my Youtube library (+AI, obviously...), and my training schedule for the half marathon. I even considered building my company's marketing plan in it!
Add to that Tana's now available on mobile (iOS is live, Android in beta), they've added AI throughout the platform and their 'commands' have become both powerful and incredibly fun to play with. I am pretty much sold on it and still feel I have a long way to go to extend the scope of the app in my life to become more productive while having to remember less.
This is truly just the end of the beginning!
@williamvz what an awesome story! Here's to even bigger steps this year!

Tana is an incredible application whose flexibility, power and usefullnes is without peer. I have been using Tana for over a year and it enables many workflows for me, and serves as the central core of my day-to-day, mid term and long term planning and execution source of record and analysis system
Thanks @david_goad ! It's so inspiring whenever we hear people are using it as a fundament for their day-to-day work.

After looking everywhere, and then using Tana in alpha and beta for over 2 years I can honestly say that I think this is the best tool for notes, tasks, organizing knowledge that is out there.
The core ideas are super powerful in themselves, then you have AI, collaboration, custom commands etc on top of that!
And how they managed to create such a vibrant community of dedicated Tana creators, adding yet another layer of value on top, is beyond my comprehension. Go to YT and find out yourself, there are already an epic amount of content available for how to use and customize Tana.
As a Swede it is hard to admit, but I bow down to the Norwegians ;)
Hey @samalyx! We initially started building our own AI models, but quickly realized we needed an infrastructure to quickly and reliably support multiple models and providers. With Tana, users get AI “out of the box,” plus the power to create entire AI-based workflows using our building blocks. Our Supertags work like OOP classes: they can hold data, define methods, inherit functionality, and use mixins/traits—plus an event system for even more power. This flexibility empowers tech professionals to integrate AI seamlessly while customizing Tana to their unique needs.

What I've always imagined. Thanks to all for the hard work by the Tana folks. I see people talking about features, and they are robust. However, overtime it becomes apparent that this product is only limited by you imagination.
Thanks a lot @edward_del_grosso. YES! You're right - or at least that's where we want to go - only being (or perhaps NOT being) limited to your imagination :D

This is the personal knowledge management system that finally worked for me--I've tried Obsidian and found it inaccessible and difficult, messed around with other PKMs, and Tana just clicked. I've been running around describing it as "the best database software you've ever SEEN!" to everyone I know for months during the beta. But that's an inadequate description. It's not just PKM, and it's not just a database, and it's not just project management software, though it does all that. It's finding information I vaguely remember having read last year, saving protocols that worked and then one-click duplicating them into templates I can write and take notes in so I can do that process again, FINDING the darn protocol, because I am not an organized person, and yes, the petty little delight of pinning heading banners that make me smile to the tops of sections. Best of all, I don't actually have to be organized, because you can @ a node (everything is a node--basically a database entry you can tag, or not, and categorize by putting it under a section header, or not) from anywhere, and it will reference it. Not duplicate it (though you can make it do that too), but reference it so when you edit it one place, you edit it everyplace. It exists somewhere, and you can see it anywhere. This apparently matches the way my brain works, and not a lot of software does. So this is knowledge management for the hyperorganized and the chronically disorganized alike.
@lariccia what a firework of a comment! 🎇 Love it and that you've been running around helping spread Tana 😄 Catching both hyperorganized and chronically disorganized alike is a solid endorsement! Thank you!
