I built Tamis because I was tired of missing important details in long documents
Hey! I’m the maker of Tamis!
I built it because I often had to go through very long PDFs and documents to find a few important pieces of information during my thesis or in my day jobs :D
Tamis is more about screening documents systematically than being a classic “chat with your PDF” or RAG tool: you define what you want to check, it goes through the documents, and it shows you what it found, with the corresponding references so you can verify everything yourself in a few seconds across thousands of documents.
I’m especially interested in making this reliable enough for real, everyday professional use. The project is tailored to a few specific use cases, but it can still be used in a more generic way.
It’s still early, so I’d genuinely love feedback: what kind of documents would you use this on, and what would make you trust (or not trust) the results?
