Hey all! πŸ‘‹ We are excited to share our product and company, Tactic, here on Product Hunt! We have been working on our platform for the last 16 months, and since launching back in March, we now serve thousands of employees across the globe and have partnerships with companies represented in over 10+ countries. πŸŽ‰ Since lockdown, we've all realized that most of us do not need to be in the office every day to do our jobs well. In fact, sometimes we're even more productive working from home! And while the flexibility is great and no one misses the commute (unless you love podcasts or audibles), the human connection an office provides has been lost. πŸ₯Ί Despite all the early claims that "the office was dead," our team here at Tactic thought differently. We saw a world where the future of work combined the perks of remote work with the benefits of in-office work. Why require everyone to work in-office from 9-5 every day when you could create a hybrid work experience, one that allows your employees to work from where they work best. ❀️ Once we saw this better, brighter future for the workplace, we talked to hundreds of executives, directors, managers, to new hires. We quickly realized everyone wanted a different way of working, no two people the same. How can you create a working environment for everyone when everyone wants something different? So we went to work. πŸ’ͺ Meet Tactic, where office and remote work meet. The most intuitive way for an employer to create a dynamic and flexible working experience tailored for each employee. Tactic empowers employees, giving them the tools necessary to understand which days are best for them to go into the office and coordinate their schedules with their co-workers. πŸ™Œ We believe the future of work should be centered around employee collaboration, allowing companies and employees to create their ideal working experience from anywhere. πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» We hope you will check out our platform and let us know your feedback! We're here and happy to answer any and all questions as you poke around. Cheers! πŸ™

We are not that big of a team with limited space, still seems helpful as the obligatory slack convos of "Who is in today" will be history ;) Congrats on the launch!
Chris Barcus
@felicitashilge exactly why we started Tactic! Love your insight and thank you for sharing. Definitely would love to have you signup and let us know what you think!
Felicitas Hilge
@chris_barcus Thank you! I will make sure to keep you posted once we tested Tactic.

Sounds great! Thank you πŸ™

@felicitashilge Definitely one of the things that we hear the most in terms of the "who is in today". One thing that sort of surprised aus once we launched was how many varied use cases we were seeing. Some offices were dealing with space constraints, some were only worried about collaboration, some wanted to gather data for a renovation, etc. Let us know what you experience is like and if there's any use cases you'd like to see covered!

I really like this idea! Back in Jan 2021 when I still had a full-time job, I really needed this. I wanted to go to the office on a day when there were fewer people with more socially distanced desks that also coincided with my team's schedule. Ultimately, I had to call my colleague for real-time updates when she was in the office, on the basis of which I went to the office. I would also love to see an option of syncing my calendar with this tool, since a lot of people don't choose to come to the office for the entire day but only a few hours. Perhaps a time bracket of sorts for the visitation time would also be useful? Wish you guys luck!
Chris Barcus
@pallavi_khanna love this insight! One of the other main reasons for Tactic is to find the best days for you to work at the office. Definitely resonate with the pain of playing telephone. We actually do integrate with Google Calendar and Outlook! Or through our Zapier app you connect with any email service provider. We believe using Tactic through your current communication stack is important! We also integrate with Slack and other major business communication tools.
Pallavi Khanna
@chris_barcus That's amazing! We are working fully remote, but I will definitely spread the word about Tactic.
Chris Barcus
We really appreciate that! Thank you πŸ™

@chris_barcus @pallavi_khanna Thank you for spreading the word about Tactic! Ricotta looks really neat. 100% adding it to our Slack org later this week. Asynchronous is absolutely a game changer in terms of team communications and it makes perfect sense to bring that to team building. We're working on some.... R&D type things for fully remote folks :) If you're interested, we'd love to add you & your team to a beta tester list.

?makers I love this idea. As as a fellow startup founder, I'm always looking to learn from other entrepreneurs. I'm working to analyze the problems that the top ProductHunt products are trying to solve. If you were to step into the shoes of your potential customers, how would you answer these questions regarding the problem they have which prompts them to try your product as a solution? 1. What is the context of the problem you have? (i.e. when does this happen, at work, at school, while you're driving, while building your startup, etc.) 2. A short description of your problem (1 sentence). 3. A detailed description of the problem or the top 3 problems your product solves (a short paragraph or two). If you're OK with it, I'll also add your answers to my database. :)
Chris Barcus
@kgantchev hey there! Thank you so much for your awesome feedback. Happy to answer those for you! 1. Typically any company with office space is dealing with the issue of how to return employees to the office safely and long-term how to manage their office space in the new hybrid world. 2. How can I best utilize my office space for my employees and adopt a hybrid workplace? 3. The number one problem we are solving for right now is 1) how to return my employees safely back into the office? 2) how can I optimize our workplace to accommodate to the needs of my employees? Mainly focused on talent retention 3) how much office space do I actually need long-term for my employees? Overall, office space is expensive but can provide a lot of value for employees. Being able to utilize it in the most cost effective and employee centric way is atop of mind for many executives and companies today.

@chris_barcus Thanks Chris! I've taken the liberty to look at your product from a Product Manager's perspective and I've tried to create Problem Statement Canvas based on your answers. Feel free to check out my interpretation of the problem you're working to solve: https://problemverse.webflow.io/... Please let me know if you would offer some improvements there.

@kgantchev this is great! Thank you.

This is awesome!
Nik Hazell
This looks awesome ?makers - we've ended up building out a few very simple individual components of what you're offering as internal tools, but there's a load more functionality here and this is super slick!
Nik Hazell
(and ours internal tools don't make it easy to plan around who's going to be in - it's still a mad dash to book office space if you need a whole team to be in for a hackathon!)
Austin Hale
@nik_hazell That's awesome! We've definitely seen quite a few homegrown tools, apps, chatbots, etc. as companies have come on board. There are absolutely a whole new slew of challenges to overcome!
Nik Hazell
@austin_hale2 Yeah 100%! It's interesting to see which ones will rise to the level of full "products" vs. which ones just stay as curiosities. Have you got any big new features in the works?
Reid Hiatt
@austin_hale2 @nik_hazell It's a great question! We are currently pushing pretty big feature updates every four weeks. Currently we're working on perfecting our interactive maps paired with our NFC tech. We think people are going to love it!
Austin Hale
@austin_hale2 @nik_hazell We might have a thing or two on the roadmap πŸ‘€ -- our core belief is that work has changed forever. No one knows exactly how much or which parts of the change will be long-term but as a collective human society, we've started down a path no one really predicted. This new path brings a lot of logistical & people challenges, and there are many new technologies that haven't been combined in ways that help address the needs created. That's a really long-winded way to say we have a whole bunch of things we're testing and trying with teams. At its core, we're obsessively focused on creating solutions to the problems we're all experiencing in this space.
