I got tired of new tab notepad extensions being a single textarea with nothing else. So I built TabNote over a few days to fix that. It replaces your new tab with a clean notepad that has a proper sidebar for multiple notes, live word count, pin-to-top, one-click .txt download, and a toolbar popup so you can peek at your notes without opening a new tab. Everything is stored locally. No account, no sign up, no data leaving your browser. Just open a new tab and write.
