SurfPad - An Arc-inspired browser designed for iPad

I built SurfPad because I use Arc on desktop and couldn't find anything like it on iPad. Every iPad browser felt like a stretched phone app. SurfPad has a real sidebar with tab tiers, spaces, fully customizable keyboard shortcuts, split view, a command bar, built-in ad blocker (including YouTube ad skipper), reader mode, save as PDF, and more. One-time $9.99 purchase. No subscription. No ads. No tracking.

Hey everyone! Solo developer here. I switched to iPad as my main device and really missed Arc's workflow — sidebar, spaces, keyboard shortcuts. Nothing on iPad came close, so I built my own. Some highlights: - Sidebar with favorites, pinned tabs, and folders - Spaces for separate workflows - Keyboard shortcuts for everything - Split view for side-by-side browsing - Built-in ad blocker + YouTube ad skipper - Command bar for quick navigation - Save as PDF, screenshots (partial and fullpage), reader mode - Incognito, site permissions, desktop mode It's $9.99 one-time — no subscription, no tracking. I'm actively shipping updates and would love to hear what features you'd want next!

This is such a good product idea--and this is the type of thing that, if you get it to the right people, it can't help but sell! If I had an iPad (which I don't unfortunately), it would be quite hard for me to STOP myself from paying for a license for this 😂 I have been an Arc fan from the beginning--I was on the Windows beta before it launched to everyone, and after using Arc, the idea of going back to a traditional browser was unthinkable. I was therefore quite devastated when Arc announced it was effectively shutting down in favor of Dia (which still has no Windows version...) I kept using Arc for a while but it got more and more buggy, and has not been fixed to my knowledge. Eventually I found Zen Browser and switched to that--highly recommend that, it is an effective replacement for Arc, practically complete feature parity, and has reached the point where it's completely stable for everyday use and they are now adding new features such as Boosts.

All of which to say, I am glad to see someone bringing this browser type to a new platform and wish I could try it out!
