First launched on Product Hunt 5 years ago, [1] this growth rate is insane.

If you're curious, you should read the insights shared by @rors, their Head of Growth and now COO, in this AMA session on product-led growth. [2]
TL,DR
It starts with a great product.
Without a solid product that solves a need for people, it's pretty hard to grow anything.
Talk to as many users as possible. The objective is to have the deepest understanding of their needs. To quote @paulg: "Do things that don't scale." [3]
In the early days, there's no substitute for speaking to as many users as possible.
Write helpful content. Case studies, code examples, and documentation to help developers learn about your product and get their job done.
If a developer can clearly see how your developer experience can help their workflow then using your product becomes an obvious choice.
Run launch weeks to maximize compound effect. Once every 3-4 months, Supabase spends a week announcing a new feature every day. @antwilson wrote a in-depth story on the topic [4] and you can find more examples in another thread. [5]
Launch weeks have been great for both aligning the team and getting traction within the community.
Engage with your community. Supabase keeps momentum by supporting its community, amplifying community-generated content in monthly email campaigns.
The monthly community email newsletter has strong engagement and showcases all the big monthly updates from the team and the community.
That's all, folks!

The growth is impressive, but what stands out is consistency. Lots of dev tools spike early and fade. Supabase has somehow kept shipping meaningful updates nonstop.
@arthurgerry you're spot on, and that's another key takeaway from the AMA session with @rors: Supabase doesn't necessarily hold features back for launch week. They "just" ship and shout as much as possible.
Ship. and shout. as much as possible.
Supabase collecting GitHub stars like Pokémon cards 😂 At this rate they'll break 100k before I fix my TODO comments.
