Apps timers and minimalist phone work, but not much and not for long

by

I was once so addicted to YouTube shorts that even if I set a timer for it, I would bypass it a few days later by saying the infamous "jUsT 5 mOrE miUTES" and then go to sleep at 3:33 AM. I tried to remove the YouTube icon on the home screen....but...I could find it in the app drawer .

First time I heard of the Dump Phone on random ads, I tried it, and ...IT'S MAGICALLY WORKS, it actually reduces the mass of my screen times. Then I quickly realized that it's the app's [ I C O N ] that is too easy to IMAGINE and open, so you're addicted to it - no, your BRAIN is unconsciously addicted to the pattern, cuz your brain already imagines the pattern you open the app, then scroll that you subconsciously do it anyway to prove. And breaking those loops needs energy (motivation, I'm right?) and discipline for a long time.

Someday you're in the mood, you could choose to break for a day, and some day you're not in the mood, and you continue to scroll again. So I think of a solution to make it EASIER to get out of the scrolling loops by adding physical awareness - ALARM every time I try to open distraction/addiction apps. Combined with minimalist phone launcher

The thing is, the thought that tells you not to scroll again is just...a thought, not a "REAL" thing cuz you can't feel it, so you have to use emotion to make it real, and emotion requires energy. Sound and vibration are real physical things, and you can immediately feel them, so it's a little to none of your energy requirements, so it's getting easier to become disciplined and in control of using your phone, not the phone that is using you
