Stripe India - Stripe Officially Launches in India as a Private Beta

Today, in an official post, Stripe announced their beta launch in India. It will currently be 'invite-only' and users will now be able to link their Indian bank accounts.

Woohoo! This is the most amazing thing I've read this week. Now how does a freelance consultant get an invite? I've tried atlas before, but sadly it was reserved only for startups.

@arunpattnaik Yup! None of these payment gateways usually accept individuals. You have to be a registered entity to get accepted. It's indeed sad. :(

It's a great news for every Indian entrepreneur and online marketers. :) Today, in an official post, Stripe announced their beta launch in India. It will currently be 'invite-only' and users will now be able to link their Indian bank accounts. In an official blog post, Anand Balaji - India Lead, Stripe, said- "We believe that by operating locally in India-with the ability for Indian companies to connect their local bank accounts to Stripe and get paid out in rupees-we can help support even more businesses and more types of business models (such as local marketplaces) in the years to come." Follow this step to get notified :
