I’m Xiaoyu, an independent developer, and I built StrengthTempo to solve a very specific problem during strength training.
A lot of workout apps are good at logging what you did after the set.
But during the set itself, they often don’t help much if you want to actually follow a planned rep tempo.
I wanted something that could guide the workout while I was lifting:
- stay on tempo during each rep
- use clear eccentric, pause, and concentric cues
- reduce the need to keep checking the screen
- make controlled strength work easier to follow
That’s why I built StrengthTempo.
It’s not trying to be an all-in-one fitness platform.
It’s focused on one core moment: helping you execute the set with better control and consistency.
Right now, the app includes:
- guided tempo-based training
- exercise and workout setup
- program structure for repeatable sessions
- training history and Pro features for deeper use
I’d especially love feedback on:
- whether the value is clear from the first impression
- whether the training flow feels easy to understand
- what kinds of tempo-based workouts you’d want to run with it
