Hello Everyone! 👋 I'm Gleb Kheilovskii, the creator of Stoic Focus, and I'm thrilled to share it with you today.
Why I built this:
I found myself constantly opening new tabs and getting instantly overwhelmed by complex to-do lists, bookmarks, and endless visual noise. I wanted a space that actually grounds me and reminds me of the bigger picture, rather than adding to my daily anxiety.
So, I built Stoic Focus which is a minimalist new tab extension inspired by the philosophy of Memento Mori.
Here is what it does:
🌌 Deep-space UI: Replaces default clutter with a calming aesthetic.
⏳ Year Progress Grid: Visualizes your entire year as a grid of dots. Past days fade out, showing you exactly how much time is left.
🎯 One Daily Focus: Instead of an overwhelming list, it asks for just one main intention for the day.
🧘♂️ Daily Wisdom: Every new tab greets you with a randomly selected quote from Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, or Epictetus.
Privacy First:
Your thoughts belong to you. The extension is 100% free, has no ads, and stores all your data strictly locally on your device. No tracking, no analytics.
I built this initially for myself, but I hope it brings a little more clarity and intention to your daily web browsing too.
