A few months ago, I started building StealthHound with one goal: make invisible web tracking visible.

Most people know about cookies, but far fewer know about browser fingerprinting a technique that can identify your device without relying on cookies. I wanted to build a tool that could expose and block these techniques in real time while keeping everything local and privacy-first.

Today, I was genuinely surprised to see StealthHound featured by Lifehacker in their article about protecting yourself from browser fingerprinting.

As an indie developer, moments like this remind me why building in public is worth it.

Over the past few months, StealthHound has grown organically, reached thousands of users, ranked #4 Product of the Day on Product Hunt, and now has this unexpected recognition from one of the web's biggest technology publications.

There's still a lot to build better analytics, premium features, and more protection against emerging tracking techniques but today I'm taking a moment to appreciate how far the project has come.

A huge thank you to everyone who has installed the extension, reported bugs, suggested features, or simply shared it with others. Every piece of feedback has helped shape StealthHound.
