Should a slip reset your streak to zero?

Most sobriety apps put your counter back to zero the moment you slip. I think that sends the wrong message: someone with 90 good days hears that they have nothing.

In SoberStack your current count restarts, but the history graph keeps every sober day, so months of progress stay visible.

How do you see it? Does a hard reset keep you honest, or does it make it easier to give up?
