Hi I have the version 1.x which I bought - do I have to pay for the v2 upgrade? if No then the check update feature is not giving me the v2 updates from the app.

Hi Duksh, if you have the very first version there might be some troubles updating to 2.0. Please, contact our support () and we'll send you the new version asap 👍
I have been using SmartMockups for half a year now and I really like it. I mostly use it for cover photos for my articles, and it's a real time saver to not be dependent on the designer to create one. Here's one of those,

if you have v1 you can get the v2 for free 😉 just download the app (you can download the trial from the product page) and unlock it with your license key

We've been thinking about making it a paid upgrade, but there is a lot of changes under the hood(like new backend etc) and we wanted all users to be on the latest release, so we don't have to keep maintaining older versions :) But we're thinking about ways how to make the product sustainable in the longer term and we plan to launch some sort of market where third party creators would be able to offer their mockups for a reasonable fee (as a add-on) That way there will be more diverse content for user and also it will help to support continuous development ;)

This is a great product, thanks for making it a one-time fee with access to future upgrades! Much better to use SmartMockups than one of those other mockup services online that make you pay $3-5 for EACH image you want. Especially the ones using CC imagery, I always thought that was a bit cheeky to be charging so high for images they didn't take themselves. Keep up the great work guys!

Started using the trail, and wow. This is so awesome, the time i can save compared to usin Photoshop is amazing! Thank you. I do have a concern with the gif's exports however, i know its in beta, but will exporting in HD be possible soon? ETA?

Hi Ashley, thank you! I'm not sure about the HD quality GIF export but we're already playing with some ideas for HD video export instead of GIF. HD GIF would be huuuuge.
