Hi I'm Gunhee, Co-founder of Shotup AI 👋
I’m that person who screenshots everything—design tips, coding tricks, shopping items, interesting articles—thinking I’ll revisit them later. But to be honest… most of those end up forgotten, buried deep in my photo album.

That’s why we built Shotup AI — an AI assistant that learns and remembers your screenshots. It understands the context of what you save and lets you ask anything about them. Whether it's that Figma tip you saw last month or a restaurant someone posted, Shotup AI brings it back fast, and turns them into useful information.

We redesigned the entire experience to support everyday screenshot users, creators, and researchers with features like:

  • 💬 AI-Powered Chat Search (Ask Anything in Your Screenshots)

  • 🔍 Key Information Extraction from Images

  • 🗂️ Automatic Screenshot Categorization

  • ☁️ Cross-device Syncing & Backup

  • Fast, Lightweight UI Built for Heavy Screenshot Users

If you’re like us—screenshotting everything just in case—Shotup will be your new favorite tool.

We’d love your feedback and support!

💡 Bright idea

🎉 Congratulations on launching Shotup AI on Product Hunt! 🚀 As someone who also tends to screenshot everything, I totally relate to the struggle of finding those gems later. Your tool sounds like a game-changer for organizing and recalling those important moments!

I love how Shotup AI understands the context of each screenshot—this is such a smart feature!

🤖 One suggestion I have is to consider adding a tagging system for users to categorize their screenshots. This could make retrieval even faster and more intuitive!

Looking forward to seeing how Shotup evolves! Keep up the great work! 💪✨

Harry Il-Hyuk Kim

@rocsheh Thank you so much for the kind words and thoughtful suggestion! 🙌

We’re definitely exploring ways to make organization even smarter — and a tagging system is high on our list!

So glad Shotup resonates with you, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next! 💫

Gunhee Han

@rocsheh The current version has an auto-categorizing powered by AI. Shotup AI automatically extracts information from each shot, tags with relevant keywords and categorize them by content. Thanks for the feedback!

Kasey Robertson

@rocsheh  @shotupai I think I just reached 300 max shot sync limit. Is there any option to increase/ unlock? I have 2341 screenshots in my library...

Harry Il-Hyuk Kim

@rocsheh  @shotupai  @krobertson55 Yep! You hit the current 300 limit — but we’re launching a subscription plan really soon 🙌

We’re preparing support for 1,000+ uploads and still discussing final limits and pricing. Thanks for being an early power user!

Patrick

@rocsheh Zepeng, what are you launching soon?

Zepeng She

@pmapexmiler Hi Patrick, we're launching a no-code agent builder platform with anything a new business you what such as user system, payment... Hover the 'coming soon' tag and follow us! Thanks for your attention!

P.S. we have a skill marketplace, if you want to place your skill to tons of agents, you can release it to our marketplace.

Harry Il-Hyuk Kim

Hey everyone!
I’m one of the co-founders and also the developer behind Shotup.

Hope you find it as useful as we do. Would love to hear your thoughts!❤️

Jun Shen

As a photographer, this AI screenshot manager is a must-have! 👀

Harry Il-Hyuk Kim

@shenjun Love hearing that — fun fact: our team actually came together while hosting an amateur photo exhibition as a hobby 😄
If there’s any feature you wish existed to make Shotup even more useful for creatives like you, we’d love your input!

Gunhee Han

@shenjun I screenshots a lot of interior design reference photos, and use Shotup AI to search them by just describing what it was like. When you type “a cozy vibe living room with a lake view” on your photo app, it may not find the right one you are looking for, but Shotup AI understands the context, find and collect the right matches for you. Give it a shot and let us know! Would love to hear!

Jun Shen

@shotupai want to say Great idea again! AI analysis photo + RAG AI search image, something that missing in current Photos app and lightroom 👍

Gunhee Han

@shenjun Thanks Jun! The main challenge we faced in the beginning was to understand real-time limitations of RAG and refining image data so we can store and retrieve fast and efficiently. Our very first POC version had almost over 30 seconds latency when answering user questions. Let us know if you have any questions or feedback on the app. We are happy to hear so we can learn and improve.

Patrick

@shenjun Hey Jun, love your airtable shortcuts. Where can we check your photo works?

Allen Barth

Build it for mac os and android please.

@allenbarth Chrome Extension

Martin Tsu
@allenbarth Oh yes definitely
Gunhee Han
@allenbarth Hi Allen, this is a really good point! Yes we are working on making it a cross-platform service so you can use the same account and memory across multiple devices and domains. Soon you will be able to use Shotup AI on Android and Mac/ PC/ Web as well💪

I'm one of those people who screenshots everything — design inspiration, useful code snippets, interesting tweets, random recipes, shopping items… you name it. But the problem? I could never find them again when I actually needed them. They’d just get buried deep in my camera roll, completely forgotten. Then Shotup AI, it changed the way I interact with my screenshots. Now, when I vaguely remember “that one Figma tip from a few weeks ago,” I can just ask Shotup AI and it pulls it up instantly. It feels like having a smart assistant that actually remembers everything for me. My favorite features: - Chat-based search across screenshots: I can just type a few word, and it finds the exact image I saved. - Automatic organization: It categorizes my screenshots into themes like design, shopping, or notes without me lifting a finger. If you’re a chronic screenshotter like me, this is a game changer.

@somin_shin shopping items indeed
Martin Tsu
@hello_hello11 yes chat-based ux definitely is my fav part. Would be good to have voice chat as well

Kasey Robertson

@talently_ai_interviewer Same here! loll .. still screenshotting seems like the easiest way to store stuff instantly though

Brian Evans
@talently_ai_interviewer I just checked.. have so many shots of Amazon shopping items that I havent actually purchased

Congrats on the launch! This solves a real pain point—managing and retrieving saved screenshots. The idea of having a language model assist with organizing and surfacing them is brilliant. Can’t wait to try it out.
