ShinySplit - A stress-free, web-first way to split group expenses

Why I built ShinySplit: Every year, we go on a group trip — and every year, I end up using the same old Google Sheet to track shared expenses. It’s worked…If you know how to use it. I also tried Splitwise, but getting people on to the platform and download an new app is toooo hard. Fast forward to our latest trip to Japan just earlier 2025 — amazing seafood, cold weather, and one final straw: “This Google Sheet UX is painful. Don’t you build apps for work?” That was the nudge. I figured with all the AI tools and frameworks out now, how hard could it be?
