Hey everyone! I'm the maker of Shift Alarm. The idea came from a nurse I know who works rotating shifts. She missed a family dinner because her alarm was set for "every Monday" — but that Monday was a night shift, and her actual day off got skipped. When I looked into it, I realized almost every alarm app assumes you work 9-to-5: repeat weekly, done. Shift workers don't live in weeks — they live in cycles. So I rebuilt the alarm model from scratch: shift patterns like 4-on/2-off and day/night rotations, any N-day cycle, plus alarms that respect holidays and your own calendar — mark a vacation day and the alarm stays silent, mark an overtime day and it fires. A few things I care about: it's fully iOS-native (Live Activity, Dynamic Island, and system-level alarms that ring even if the app is killed), and there are no ads — holiday data updates automatically instead of making you watch a 20-second video. I'd love feedback, especially from shift workers or anyone on an irregular schedule. What pattern do you work? What should I build next?
