I spent the last few weeks testing AI UGC tools to research the market. Here are my honest thoughts.

I create a lot of AI ads for a few ecommerce brands, so I ended up trying almost every AI UGC platform I could find to do a competitor research and mapping.

A few things I noticed:

1. Most AI UGC tools are actually workflow tools.

The AI isn't usually the problem but the workflow is.

For a surprising number of products my process looked like this:

  • ChatGPT / Claude for scripting

  • Flux / Nano Banana for product images

  • Veo / Kling for video

  • ElevenLabs for voice

  • CapCut for captions

  • Then manually fixing everything

The output was decent, but experience was complex.

2. Prompting gets old very quickly.

The first few times it's fun. By the 10th ad, you're mostly copy-pasting prompts and changing a few words. That wasn't what I expected AI to solve.

3. The biggest bottleneck isn't quality anymore.

Honestly, most of these models are getting pretty good.

The bottleneck is iteration. How quickly can you test another hook, creator, angle, CTA.

That's where I think the next generation of AI tools will compete.

That's why I'm building Shhots AI!

Instead of bouncing between 4-5 tools, you could upload product photos and generate AI UGC, product shots and cinematic ads in the same place. This saves more time than better prompting ever did.

Do try it out and let me know your feedback :)
