Hey PH! I'm a solo developer, and I've been working on Dup a macOS app that finds duplicate photos and videos using perceptual hashing. The problem I kept hitting: I had 200GB of media scattered across folders exported at 4K and 1080p, converted MOV to MP4, shared via AirDrop (which renames files). Every duplicate finder I tried said "no duplicates found." They only match identical files.
