I read 16 IRS publications from Korea to build a tax app. Here's what broke my brain.

I read 16 IRS publications from Korea. Then I found several government audit reports from the GAO. Here's the number that stopped me cold.

I am not American. I've never filed a Schedule C. I've never spoken to the IRS.

But I was already building a product for 31 million U.S. self-employed people. So I needed to understand their tax reality.

16 IRS publications. Multiple audit reports. Hundreds of pages. One month.

800+ tools, zero backend. How I'm scaling 99Tools.net 🚀

Hey everyone! I ve been building 99Tools.net a collection of over 800 free developer and utility tools.

While most similar sites rely on heavy backends, I ve kept everything strictly serverless and client-side using vanilla JS. Every tool processes data locally in your browser. It s better for privacy, and the performance is near-instant because there's zero server-side lag.

As someone with an SEO background, the biggest challenge right now isn't the code it's efficiently indexing and ranking a site with this many individual pages.

I d love to hear from other makers here:

The rise of AI voice cloning: Are we ready for 2026?

I've been researching how deepfake audio is changing the scam landscape. It feels like we're losing the war on trust. I'm building Truvxy to create a real-time detection layer, but I'm struggling with the balance between privacy and security.

How do you think makers should handle voice data while trying to protect users?

(P.S. I have some research data needs, I'll put the link in the comments if anyone wants to help!)

I built RejexAI to decode App Store & Play Store rejections

Hey PH community

After getting my own apps rejected multiple times (once for a cryptic 2-line reason that took 3 days to debug), I realized there had to be a better way. So I built RejexAI a tool that uses AI to parse Apple App Store and Google Play Store rejection notices and turns them into actionable fixes.

How it works:

  • Upload or paste your rejection notice

  • AI identifies the exact guideline violated

  • You get code snippets, design changes, and an appeal template in 1-2 minutes

Asking for feedback

Fellow business owners in Nigeria, How many of you still use notebooks and calculators to track your daily sales, stock, and profit? I see it every day in the market my own parents and many shop owners like us struggle with this. - Forgetting what you sold yesterday - Running out of stock on hot items while money is tied up in slow-moving goods - Ending the day not sure if you actually made profit after expenses - Spending hours calculating VAT or margins manually It leads to mistakes, stress, and bad financial decisions that eat into our hard-earned money. That s why I built **KashBook** a simple tool made for small retail shops like fashion, accessories, groceries, and general stores. Just record a sale in seconds it auto-calculates profit, VAT (7.5%), and updates your stock in real time. See your 7-day profit chart clearly in Naira. Full inventory with buy/sell prices and low-stock alerts. Sales history, top products, and easy CSV export. Works as a **PWA** open the link once on your phone, add to home screen, and it feels like a full app. No Play Store download needed. It s completely free and built by a Lagos guy who understands the real hustle. Try it here: https://mykashbook.netlify.app/ I just launched it on Product Hunt today https://www.producthunt.com/prod...

BabySea: The Inference Infrastructure for Generative Media

Most teams building with generative media don t realize this yet:

They re not building products.

They re building glue code between unstable systems.

If you’re still manually creating the same invoice every week or month, this might save you hours.

I ve seen a lot of small businesses struggle with recurring billing, especially when you re dealing with subscriptions, retainers or repeat orders.

A few common problems I keep hearing:

  • Did my invoice actually get sent?

  • Why am I recreating the same invoice every month?

  • We re growing, but invoicing is slowing us down.

Sound familiar?

AI radio with deeper musical roots

I m building Doremi Radio, an AI-generated music radio shaped by historical and cultural sound worlds.

Instead of generic AI background music, it creates a stronger sense of musical identity, with controls that let you shape the music to your taste, drawing from things like Baroque structure, modal traditions, and period-inspired instrumentation.

SplitPost: content repurposing that actually enforces your voice rules

I've used SocialBee, Buffer, Jasper, Copy.ai, and Castmagic. They all promise "your tone of voice". Most are just a ChatGPT wrapper bolted on to create quick captions, but none of them let you define specific rules and enforce them on every output. I'd spend 15-20 minutes per piece correcting the same mistakes the tool kept making.

SplitPost (splitpost.io) takes one piece of your content and generates platform-native posts for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, Threads, Reddit, TikTok and Facebook, each in the relevant voice and formatting for that platform. You set voice rules (banned phrases, sentence pattern constraints, register checks) and every output gets validated against them before you see it.

Free tier, no card required. This is app three in 18 months as a non-technical solo founder in the UK. I'd genuinely like to know if the voice enforcement angle lands for anyone else or if I've built for a problem only I had.
