What we learned after testing 500+ AI social media posts
Before building Zolyp, we tested AI-generated social posts for several different types of businesses.
The surprising part wasn't that AI could write decent captions. It could.
The bigger problem was consistency.
The posts often sounded fine individually, but after generating dozens of them, the brand started losing its personality. The tone changed, ideas repeated, and the content stopped feeling like it came from the same business.
That led us to focus much more heavily on persistent brand context — not just prompts.
Things like:
how the brand speaks
what topics it should talk about
what it should never say
recurring content themes
offers and CTAs
visual direction
the type of audience it's speaking to
That's one of the ideas that eventually became Brand Brain inside Zolyp.
We're still improving it, so I'm curious:
What's the biggest thing you've found AI gets wrong when creating content for your brand?
