What’s missing from interactive storytelling today?

Interactive stories have existed for years - but creating them still feels unnecessarily complicated.

Writers often need one tool to write, another to manage branching paths, another to publish, and somewhere else entirely to find readers and monetize their work.

As readers, we also felt that interactive stories were scattered across different apps, games, websites, and communities.

That’s one of the reasons we started building Forgeon.

Our goal is to create one platform where authors can build interactive stories, publish them, reach readers, and earn - while readers get one place to discover and experience stories shaped by choices, branching paths, RPG mechanics, music, illustrations, and more.

But we’re curious how others see this space.

If you could change one thing about how interactive stories are created or experienced today, what would it be?
