Trayage is live: I'd like feedback on the moment before you click “Move to Trash”
Trayage launched on Product Hunt today. I'm Kyle, its solo developer, and there's one part of the experience I'd particularly like Mac users to evaluate.
Imagine you're reviewing Downloads. There's an installer you might be finished with, two PDFs with similar names, and a large file you haven't looked at in a while. What do you need to know before you're comfortable moving any of them to Trash?
Trayage brings those files together, explains why each stands out, and lets you reveal them in Finder. File analysis happens on your Mac. You choose the files, then confirm before cleanup.
One important limit: likely duplicates currently use filenames and file sizes. Their contents are not compared, so a suggestion is a reason to check, not proof that two files are identical.
I'd love feedback on whether the review gives you enough information to make that decision. If something is unclear, tell me where you hesitated. First impressions from the screenshots are welcome too.
The direct Mac download is available with a 7-day cleanup trial and an optional US$29.99 one-time license. The Mac App Store edition is still pending review.
