I launched @FocusAI here ~10 days ago. Result: #60 of the day, 12 upvotes. Not the dream launch — but the feedback was clear.

The problem: People liked the AI plans, but day 1 felt like a full productivity suite before they’d done anything. Too much dashboard, not enough finish one step today.

What I shipped since (actual changes, not a rebrand):

1. Day-1 funnel — One card: today’s step → Start focus. Full dashboard after your first session.

2. Plan review v2 — Edit/delete steps before saving; “starts today” is obvious.

3. Share Week 1 — Copy or download your first week as text/PNG.

4. Smarter AI — Validator blocks vague tasks (“practice more”, “research fundamentals”).

5. Regenerate one milestone — Fix a weak phase without redoing the whole plan.

6. Vertical pages — Python / side project / piano with prefilled goals.

7. Mobile + demo — Removed desktop-only block; try the product before signup.

Solo founder, no fake metrics. Still early.
