Made an AI video tool with no subscription — you just pay per video. Why do people bounce?

by•

Hi,

Almost every AI video tool wants a monthly subscription, which felt dumb for anyone who only makes a video once in a while. So I made ShineGenAI — you just pay per video, that's it. No subscription.

It's got 5 models in one spot (Grok, Veo, Kling, Seedance, Wan), does both text-to-video and image-to-video, and there's free credits so you can try before paying anything.

It's live on Product Hunt right now — would honestly mean a lot if you took

a look (and an upvote would make my day):

Also on Android and web:

The thing I keep scratching my head over: people try an AI video tool once and just don't come back. If that's been you — what made you drop it? Too pricey, results not good enough, annoying to get started? Would genuinely

like to know.

One guess from the user side: the first result decides everything. Someone types a one-line prompt, gets something generic, and blames the tool rather than the prompt. A few ready-made example prompts, or a step that expands a short idea into a detailed prompt on the first run, might keep more people around. Pay-per-video is a good fit for occasional creators, so making that first video land matters even more.
