I'm 18 and built an AI that dresses you for under $100 — because I was broke and tired of shopping
I've always wanted to dress better but I'm a college student with zero budget and zero fashion sense. I'd spend 2 hours scrolling through Zara and H&M, end up overwhelmed, and either buy nothing or buy something I'd never wear again.
One day I thought — what if AI could just do this for me? Tell it my style, my budget, what I need, and let it build a complete outfit with real products I can actually buy?
So I built it. It took me about two weeks. You take a quick style quiz — your vibe, your budget, what pieces you need, your favorite colors and brands — and the AI generates 3 complete outfits with real products, real prices, and direct links to buy everything.
I called it Outfyt (outfyt.io). First outfit is free, no sign-up needed.
I'm not a designer or a fashion expert. I'm just a guy who got tired of standing in front of his closet with nothing to wear. If this helps even one person feel more confident getting dressed in the morning, it was worth building.

Hi @darylbd !
I like the idea. I think you should find a way to give the AI an uploaded user's photo to dress them. Cause folks are with different weights and heights.
Hey @darylbd, really enjoyed testing this out! The flow is super clean.
If you're looking for feedback from a fellow builder: I found the initial questions a bit broad, and I think adding a bit more 'context' to the questions would be nice as it slightly felt generic, could help the AI narrow down the recommendations even further.
Also, as a student, I'm always looking for ways to stretch a budget. I noticed the price floor is $30, but I’d love to see an option for thrift or local market tiers in the future, it would be a great way to make the tool feel even more inclusive for different types of shoppers.
Really cool to see how you're handling the AI flow. I’m actually working on a similar project AuraClick, that works somewhat similar to your project, except that we don't ask you questions, rather rely on the photo alone and advise them on personalised styling, would love to hear your thoughts on how you’re balancing UI simplicity with AI accuracy if you’re ever open to chatting!
