I built PaperLocal: private PDF tools that run entirely in your browser

by

Hey Product Hunt community — I’ve been building PaperLocal:

It’s a private-by-default workspace for everyday PDF tasks. Your files stay on your device and are processed locally in the browser rather than uploaded to a server.

It currently supports:

• Merge, split, rotate, extract, and remove pages

• Images to PDF and PDF to images

• Watermarks and page numbers

• Fill and sign

• PDF to Markdown

• Visual previews before download and the ability to continue an output in another tool

It’s free to try and doesn’t require an account.

I’d genuinely value feedback on three things:

1. Is the local-processing/privacy promise clear enough?

2. Which workflow still feels confusing or cumbersome?

3. What PDF task should we build next?

I’m building it iteratively from real user feedback, so candid criticism is very welcome.
