Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Bytesweep because I was constantly wondering where all the storage on my Mac was actually going. My Mac would say I was running low on space, but figuring out why was a completely different story. So I started building Bytesweep. With Bytesweep 2.0, you can visually explore your Mac’s storage in different ways — Treemap, Folders, Sunburst, Flame Graph, Bubbles, Mind Map, Top Sizes, and Age Map. But I wanted it to go beyond just showing files. Bytesweep can monitor your Mac and tell you when something changes. You can also ask questions like: “What got bigger this week?” That was one of the features I really wanted for myself. Instead of digging through folders every time, I wanted to simply ask my Mac what changed. And then there’s the MacBook Notch. I thought, why should the Notch just sit there? So I built part of Bytesweep around it, giving it a useful place to surface information and interact with your Mac. Bytesweep isn’t meant to be just another “delete junk files” app. It’s about helping you understand what’s actually happening on your Mac.
