Building a Cat Avatar Desktop Pet for Health Monitoring — Would Love Feedback
I'm exploring a new product that brings together a cute desktop companion and health monitoring—but with a fresh approach.
Traditional solutions often rely on Apple Watch data or camera access. Cameras, in particular, can feel invasive when you're trying to focus; that subtle awareness of being watched creates discomfort rather than comfort.
So I chose a different path: monitoring keyboard and mouse activity. These are universal, unobtrusive signals that reveal your state—whether you're deep in work, away for a break, or pushing through late hours.
The health scoring works through built-in logic. Healthier routines—standing up every two hours, eating meals on time, maintaining regular sleep—earn you a higher rank. And this is where the kitten comes in: it beams with energy when you're thriving; its ears droop when you're neglecting yourself; its eyes grow heavy and weary when you've stayed up too late.
The core idea: While you work at your computer every day, your body sends warning signals—headaches, stomach pain, exhaustion—before you finally realize something needs to change. But why wait for the damage? This little cat is your avatar, a living mirror of your own physical state. When that sad, exhausted face stares back from the screen, it is you looking back at yourself. Can you really keep pushing yourself to the brink when your own reflection looks so worn out?
The first version of the cat looks a bit like a sad mouse. XD
It says I worked over 92 mins and I need some rest.

Would like your precious feedback :
1. What do you currently use to remind yourself to take breaks? Apple Watch nudges, Pomodoro timers, or do you just power through until your body complains?
2. After hours at the desk, what signals does your body send you? I usually don't notice until I get a headache—and by then, the damage is already done.
3. Here's my real fear: would this cat actually make you take a break, or would it just become one more thing on your screen to ignore while you keep grinding?
Thanks in advance! :)
