šŸ’ƒ Where are the women hunters?

I understand that hunting has traditionally been seen as a man's thing.

But Product Hunting is a completely different thing =)

There are so many women makers, marketers, designers, and developers on PH. Iā€™ve met and interacted with quite a few of them.

But when I look at the top huntersā€¦

I honestly couldnā€™t find women among the top hunters.

So Iā€™m curious - why do you think that is?

Is it about trust? Visibility? The way the community works?
Or is there another reason Iā€™m missing?

Where are the women hunters?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Trust might play a role too. Becoming someine founders regularly approach to hunt their product probably takes time and visibility.

Ā Yes, and honestly, I think in some fields men naturally get a bit more trust than women.

Even when women have the same visibility and experience šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Its great question. Maybe seeing more women actively hunt and talk about that experience would encourage others to try it too.

I actually had an experience last week that made me think about this.

A maker offered me to hunt their product (I guess he saw me at #1 on the leaderboard and thought I was a Hunter).

But then, after I asked for the materials for the hunt, he changed his mind - maybe he realized Iā€™m not actually a Hunter =D

And thatā€™s when the idea popped into my head: why not? =)

So I started looking into it and realized I couldnā€™t find a single woman Hunter at all.
