Reshade - App limits for real life

Reshade is a screen-time app for real life. Set app limits, pause before distractions, unlock apps with intent, and create rules for places like work, gym, commute, home, or your next trip. Reshade helps you stop opening apps on autopilot and make your phone fit your life instead of stealing your time. Less autopilot. More intention.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 We built Reshade because most screen-time tools treat every moment the same. But your phone should not behave the same at work, in the gym, during a commute, or while trying to focus. The problem is not only screen time, it is autopilot. Opening one app without thinking, falling into the next loop, and realizing later that time disappeared. Reshade is our attempt to make app access more intentional and more connected to real life. You can set hard limits, add pauses before distractions, unlock apps with intent, and create rules for places like work, gym, home, or study spaces. One example: you can set a real-life commitment like “go to the gym by Wednesday at 3 PM” ; and keep distracting apps locked until you actually show up, tracked via location access in the background. The idea is simple: your phone should fit your life, not steal your time. The core idea is simple: Your phone should fit your life, instead of stealing your time. Would love to hear what you think, especially around place-based app rules and intentional unlocks.
