Repixel 2.0 - Retarget someone elseโ€™s website visitors

byโ€ข
Send ads to the recent visitors of *someone else's* website. For example, if you sell tennis gear, you might have success retargeting a site that ranks the best rackets available ๐ŸŽพ
Repixel was built with global privacy regulations top of mind.

Matt Molinaro
awesome updates, love it!
Josh Chopak
@matt_molinaro thanks Matt! Glad you're excited for them. We're pretty pumped as well.

Love this. I'll be sending over to my Marketing to see if we can drive more qualified leads!
Josh Chopak
@lemons788 thanks James! Hope they like it ๐Ÿ‘

@josh chopak. How is this not against TOS?
Josh Chopak
@danielgold1 what specific TOS clauses were you concerned about? Putting your FB pixel on someone else's website isn't allowed, but Repixel leverages FB's built-in share pixel functionality. Does that help to ease your concerns?

Good idea! One thing that would persuade me a lot more to join your marketplace, is if you had another metric other than website pageviews. This would persuade me of the quality of the website. Or make the metric more granular- pageviews per month? I didn't feel like the quality of the websites matched up to the prices they were charging.
Josh Chopak
@ep6791 thanks for the feedback! I think you're right, maybe a Google Analytics integration would be useful. In the meantime, we have a free trial, so if the quality isn't there, you'll never be charged a penny.

Congrats on the launch, we always did this internally between the products that we are shipping, but it's really nice to be able to tap into the other markets and competitors as well, good job, really like the idea!
Josh Chopak
@ivanvucic thanks Ivan, much appreciated!

As for any product that promotes spying on users and following them around the web I am disturbed on number of upvotes and cheering here. -1 from me.
Martin Santon
Don't think this would be legal in Europe. How do you imagine it would?
Josh Chopak
@martinsanton please keep in mind that Repixel leverages Facebook's built-in share pixel functionality -- neither us nor our users would be collecting any data at all.

Is this a fair usage of pixels according to Facebook's Terms of Service agreement? It's a clever concept but I'm curious what the risks are to both parties (pixel owner + pixel borrower)
Josh Chopak
@kathleensmith thanks for the question and your interest in Repixel! What specific TOS clauses were you concerned about? Putting your FB pixel on someone else's website isn't allowed, but Repixel leverages FB's built-in share pixel functionality. Does that help to ease your concerns?
