Recall Release Notes, September 25, 2026: Import 1000 URLs in CSV & Save chat outputs to one card

Hello everyone!

This release is all about bringing your read-it-later URLs to life by getting your content into Recall. You can now import reading lists straight from a CSV, watch exactly what succeeds or needs attention, and jump right to your new cards. We have also released a new flow so you can save your chat outputs to either one new card or any existing card, improved the images for EPUB and social saves, and squashed a wide range of bugs across saving, sync, and mobile.

Import your reading lists from CSV

See it in action here:

• Bring links from Raindrop, Instapaper, or your own spreadsheet into Recall. Choose CSV of URLs under Add Content, Bulk import, or drop a CSV onto your library.

• Recall reads the URL, title, and tags columns when present, skips duplicate links and cards already in your library, and shows how many links are ready before you begin.

• Import up to 1,000 links at a time. For larger files, upload the same CSV again to bring in the next batch.

• Your links can be any form of content that Recall supports: YouTube, podcasts, social posts, etc.

• Available on Plus and Max. Imports save the original content without automatically creating AI summaries, and Max users can run bulk AI actions afterwards.

Clearer progress for imports and bulk actions

• CSV, Pocket, browser bookmark, and Markdown imports now share one consistent progress experience with bulk uploads and AI actions.

• See what is waiting, what is being processed, and how many cards were added, already existed, or failed. Failed imports show a reason when available and move to the top when the batch finishes.

• Keep browsing your library while a batch runs, then use View cards to open the cards from that batch.

• Canceling a batch keeps cards already saved and gives you a clearer account of completed and unfinished work.

Save chat answers to the notebook you choose

• Add an answer to a new notebook card or search for an existing card to keep related ideas together.

• Recall remembers your choice for the conversation so the next answer goes to the same card, or you can pick a destination each time.

• Use Undo if you add an answer by mistake.

Share and export your EPUB books

• The first page of your EPUB now becomes the main image for the Recall card

• Send an EPUB to Recall directly from the share sheet on iOS or Android.

• Exporting an EPUB card or your full library now includes the original book file alongside your Markdown notes.

Improvements and Bugs

Improvements

• File uploads now let you review selected files in a compact list, remove individual files, or add more before starting. The choice between combining images into one card and creating separate cards is clearer.

• Recall now attempts to restore missing or broken card thumbnails when a working source image is available. Recovery works in grid, list, and table views without changing your cards' dates or library order, and Wikipedia thumbnails look sharper.

• Returning to your library restores your scroll position, and navigation stays consistent as you move between pages.

• LinkedIn short links beginning with lnkd.in now resolve to their destination before Recall saves them.

• Age-restricted social content saves the link and available public details, with a clear warning when the full content cannot be retrieved.

Imports and notebooks

• A failed link or connection no longer stops the rest of an import from progressing.

• Markdown imports now show a clearer error for unreadable or corrupt files, and we fixed import failures caused by ordinary text containing parentheses and percent signs.

• Copying a notebook link's URL now works more reliably across web and mobile.

• More reliable batch tags keep imported cards together and make them easier to find after an upload or retry.

Sync, tags, and the extension

• Fixed another cause of initial sync failures when bringing a large library onto a new device.

• Improved loading reliability by waiting for sign-in to finish before fetching account data.

Mobile and sign-in

• Fixed a crash on older iPhones and iPads when opening cards or chat containing Markdown.

• Fixed another iOS 15 reader compatibility issue that prevented reader content from loading.

• Fixed mobile file sharing failures when shared filenames contain spaces or special characters.
