It makes for a really good every day phone because of that battery. It also is smart and doesn't use the full specs when it doesn't need to. Plus basically vanilla Android. It comes with Nova Prime launcher which is what I use on my non Pixel phone.
Mobile is not for gaming, you can put latest chips on it, overheating will kill the performance anyway. Buy a computer or a console, or play Candy Crush.
