Product Update: Shifted Quetzly from API testing to full ArcGIS Administration

Hey everyone,

It has been about seven months since the initial Product Hunt launch, and I wanted to post a quick update on how Quetzly has evolved since then.

Through discussions with users, it became clear that while the original Chrome extension was helpful for quick browser checks, enterprise GIS teams needed something tailored specifically to operational reliability rather than general API testing.

Based on that feedback, I built and recently released Quetzly Pro, a dedicated desktop app designed for GIS administration and health monitoring, while keeping the Chrome extension available for fast REST directory checks.

What has changed and what is new:

  • Shift from API Testing to GIS Management: Moved away from Postman-style API client workflows to focus entirely on ArcGIS Server and Portal infrastructure health.

  • Support for Enterprise Environments: Built as a desktop app for environments where IT security policies block browser extensions.

  • Automated Health Monitoring: Added scheduled checks with automated alerts for silent service failures.

  • Service Dependency Tracking: Added node graphs to visualize which web maps and web apps rely on a specific service before making changes or updates.

  • Secured Server Auditing: Added OAuth2 and credential support to audit internal and secured services alongside public ones.

Quetzly Pro is currently in free beta while I gather more input from teams managing ArcGIS infrastructure. If you work with ArcGIS Enterprise or Online services, I would really appreciate your feedback on what works well and what features you would like to see next.

You can check out the update or try the beta here:

Thank you again to everyone who provided early feedback during the initial launch!
