QR Menu & Order - Simple QR code menu and restaurant ordering system

I’ve been vibe coding this project for the past 4 weeks, and today I’m excited to finally share QR Menu & Order 🚀

The idea came to me because I’m a pretty socially awkward person. I don’t like speaking to a waiter more than once — especially if they seem stressed, not smiling, or just having a rough day. At the same time, I noticed that this means restaurants often miss out on upsells with people like me, who would gladly add more if it was easier.

I thought: ordering at a restaurant should be effortless. No clunky apps, no outdated paper menus — just scan a QR code, browse, and order instantly.

What started as a weekend experiment turned into a 63,000+ line codebase in just 4 weeks, with:

🌍 Multi-language menu & internationalization system

⚡ Real-time ordering, payments, and affiliate tracking

🔒 Secure backend with 25 edge functions + 107 database migrations

📊 Analytics, reporting tools, and even a CEO admin portal

Right now, the first two plans are live. The Pro plan isn’t accessible yet, but it’s coming soon with advanced features.

I built it because I believe restaurants deserve simple, powerful tools that don’t get in their way (and that make things easier for customers like me, too).

For me QR menu ordering is truly a game changer for dining out because getting instant access to the menu and being able to order right from the table speeds up the entire experience and means less waiting for staff. It makes everything feel much more efficient and modern. Only positive from me!

I really appreciate how easy it is to update digital menus, especially when restaurants have daily specials or need to change prices. It’s also great that you can easily filter for dietary preferences or allergies. This makes the experience safer and much more personal.

While QR codes make ordering super convenient, I think it can sometimes be tricky for people who aren’t so comfortable with technology, like older guests. It would help if restaurants kept a few paper menus on hand or made the digital interface even more user-friendly. But in time i think this can be a very good tool for restaurants and their guests!
