I don't think words can capture how liberating the last few months have been as I have developed this app for my own personal use. I have two young kids and love to go on adventures with them as often as I can, but often have product development work that needs (and I want to) finish. That meant being chained to my desk hoping for flow state or managing agents on my desktop. The world has come a long way but hasn't fixed all the compromises you have to make to get a mobile/remote coding experience. There are agentic apps like lovable or replit that handle everything, and I understand why people like them, but they obfuscate key parts of development like a terminal, git history or push for their own deployment options, I wanted something more like vscode on my phone. It's also possible to connect to agent harnesses remotely by leaving your laptop running but I dont always want to let agents run wild and commit code without steering or looking at what they are writing. I dont expect this to be for everyone, it sits in the middle between full vibe coding, and full agent run yolo engineering and the world may have moved on from this approach. I am totally content with being the only person to ever use this app because it has given me months of adventures with my kids while also being able to ship production apps I am proud of.
